Stylistics has been introduced in the contemporary criticism that particularly focuses on the study of literature by drawing on theories and ideas from the study of language and provides insights into the structures, functions and syntax employed by the writer. This also provides ample ground to the critic to analyze the literary piece of art and arrive at the correct appraisal. A writer evolves a style over the years that is inimitable and becomes peculiar to that writer. For this, the writer uses, deliberately or otherwise, linguistic expressions and syntactical structures that eventually become his signature literary style. Muhammad Hanif Qais is one of those poets who, by doing so, has evolved a peculiar style of his own, different from his peers. This article effects the stylistic analysis of Qais’s work Chaghjai. The study derives Objective findings, keeping in view the theory of stylistics.
