Abstract

Siddique Khattak belongs to the golden age (Zareen Dawar) of classical Pashto literature.  He is the nephew of the great poet Khushal Khan Khattak and the son of Faqir Jamil Baig. He is older than Rehman Baba or his peers.  Siddique has followed Khushal Khattak's school of thought mostly, but he has also maintained his stylistic affinity with the Hindi school of style (Hindi Sabbaq) .In this article discusses the life and poetry of Siddique Khattak from different angles.
