Artistic reflection of Idioms in the Poetry of Ali Khan

Abstract

Ali Khan is one of the five classical poets of the Pashto poetry. He was a great religious scholar of his time. When we study his poetry we also find great deals of Pashto proverbs phrases and idioms. In this article have been made to search out the Pashto idioms and phrases from his deewan. Because a phrase in the back bone of the language increases beauty, Atticism and rhetoric’s of the Kalam. Ali Khan was aware of its important. This is why he has used various phrases in his poetry. Poetry is magic of words and idioms are the magic of poetry. Because the words are not used in the real meaning.  It gains poetic and metaphorical meaning in a sense.
